Mapping Space

The exhibition "Mapping Space" redefines the exhibition space. It opens up a connection between architecture, urban nature, the animals that inhabit it and the people who use this terrain as a social interaction space. The exhibition does not end at the walls of the villa, but rather the tour begins in Merkelpark and integrates the "Stadtacker" and uses a wooden architecture by Kollektiv Plus X as a bridge between interior and exterior space, urban society and Villa Merkel.

Guest exhibition by Esslinger Kunstverin:
Sinn und Form

This year's themed exhibition of the Esslinger Kunstverein takes the interplay of the two concepts of meaning and form as an art-philosophical figure for a group exhibition. In a multifaceted interplay, the Kunstverein continues its tradition of organizing an annual guest exhibition at the Villa Merkel at the turn of the year.
